    BUTLER COUNTY AREA COURTS

    The Butler County court system is unique in that it has three separate courts handling its misdemeanor criminal and traffic cases:

    (1) Butler County Area I  Court (including Hanover, Milford, Morgan, Oxford, Reily and Wayne Townships)

    (2) Butler County Area II Court (including Fairfield and Liberty Townships, the Village of Monroe, and the portion of I-75 running through Liberty Township)

    (3) Butler County Area III Court (including West Chester and a small portion of Sharonville that is in Butler County)

    The Butler County Area Courts hears all misdemeanor criminal offenses, which are criminal charges in which the maximum penalty six months in jail and a $1000 fine.

    Additionally, the Butler County Area Court hears all traffic violations occurring within their jurisdiction in Butler County.
