Take Caution to Only Vote Once in Ohio Elections

Illegal voting is an issue that could affect many Ohioans.  Given the spotlight on Ohio at election time, officials pour through the voting records for any indication of fraud or double voting.  This can get you in trouble even if you didn’t realize what happened.  For example, if you vote absentee, you cannot then vote again at the polls.  It is a crime.  Many first time Ohio voters don’t realize the potentially serious consequences of a voting mistake.

As Judge Sheeran said in this Dispatch article, everyone should take advantage of their right to vote, but be careful to only vote once.
